Colton & Caden's Corner: 2013

December is here! One of my favorite months!

I picked up this Nativity Set after Christmas last year and was so excited to give it to the boys this year. They loved it and hopefully it will remind us all about the reason for the season!

Our Small group headed to Grapevine to see a Living Nativity but there was a 2 hour wait just to get inside. So we went with Plan B and headed to downtown Grapevine to see the lights.

Caden had a great time dancing in the gazebo to the Christmas music set to lights.

December was so mild - we had lots of time in the great outdoors wearing shorts! Here are the boys painting away.

"Elfus" made his appearance on our front step in a box of snow around the first of December. The boys have had a great time playing hide and seek with him in the mornings!

One of my best presents of all time! He kept asking me to wrap him up and then unwrap him :)

First snow! Just a light dusting but it sure was exciting!

Colton played the sheep in his Christmas Nativity program. He did a great job singing all the songs and doing the motions! He was excited to have Mom, Dad, Pawpaw, Grandma and Grandad in the audience. He and Caden have such a fan club!

Caden was so serious at first but as soon as the music started he hammed it up. He did a great job and had the fan club at his program too!

Couch fort - These boys have become best buddies! It is so much fun to see their friendship grow and for them to play together - such a blessing! Makes all the fights, separations and hard days worth it!!

Our town does a special event each year where Santa and his elves parachute in for a visit. This year we had a great view and also got to take Bunny with us!

After they dropped out of the sky, we went by the model train show and looked around. That's Colton in the monster hoodie. He loves the trains!

Then we took Bunny to another fun part of our town - Safety-Town. They have Christmas lights and miniature houses and businesses for the kids to walk through.

Caden demonstrated how to get low if there's a fire in the house.

Then, to top it off we came home and made Gingerbread Men with bunny. Fun memories!

The adults opened gifts with oven mitts and it was pretty funny. We had a great evening!

Caden wanted me to take this picture to show one of his friends that happens to be a girl :) Can you read the shirt? It says, "I'm a Total Player" - uh oh!

Took the boys with me while I got my hair done and they did a great job! Thankfully, Bunny met us towards the end so they could run around the park while I finished up.
