Weeks 5 and 6

Where has the time gone??? As I write this, Colton is just 1 day away from his seventh week of life! He is getting so big. We went to see a lactation specialist on Monday and he weighed 11 lbs. He has started smiling so much. And not just your run of the mill smiles either - these are real, happy, "can life get any better than this" grins! It just melts my heart! I'm learning how to attach video to this blog and as soon as I do I'll post a video of his sweet grinning ways. For now enjoy the pics!

One Month Old!!!

On August 12th - Colton turned 1 month old! He was excited to say the least!
I've got the whole world at my fingertips...

Papaw gave me some new shoes for my one month birthday - I may have to grow into them.

3 Weeks Old...

Ok, really today is Colton's 1 month birthday, but his mom is a little behind. The following pictures were actually taken during his third week of life. One month pictures coming soon. We are doing great! Colton is really starting to interact with us. He makes the sweetest noises and really likes when we sing the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "You are My Sunshine" really close to his face. He is almost smiling and does a lot of big stretching and kicking. He is sleeping like a rockstar at night - between 4-6 hours straight. I've had to practice my baby songs - for the longest time I was singing the "Eensy Weensy Spider" and couldn't remember all the lines... oh well he doesn't seem to mind.

Colton & Friends

We have been so blessed by wonderful visits from family and friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing in our little one's arrival. From cards, calls, delicious meals and sweet visits you have all showered us with love and we are so grateful! I tried to take a picture of everyone who came to visit us in the hospital and at home for Colton's book - but of course I left out a few... Thanks again for celebrating this miracle with us.
