Happy Birthday Papaw!

Happy Birthday, Papaw! I hope you have a wonderful day!

A few weeks ago, Colton and I headed to Downtown Dallas to visit Papaw's office.

Papaw is very handy! He helped Mom and Dad resurface their patio and while he was at it , he put up my new swing. I love it! For Mother's Day, he sneaked over to our house and planted some beautiful flowers in our back yard to surprise Mom. She loved them.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I am so thankful for you! This Mother's Day is especially special as I feel so blessed to share the title of Mother with you. I am humbled everyday as I realize what a huge responsibility and joy it is to grow a little person. Thank you for being such an amazing mom and now, "Bunny"! Thank for giving me life, a godly example and the precious gift of faith in God. I am so incredibly blessed to be your daughter! I love you MORE! :)

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today is my Grandma's birthday. I just wanted to wish her a very special day. I love spending time with her! Grandma has already taught me a lot of things like fractions, reading and counting. I also love when she sings to me! I love you, Grandma!

Over spring break, Aunt Paige and the boys came up for a visit. We had a great time but it was way too short.

Yikes, it's 11:50 pm and I'm blogging. We're staying up late watching the Stars in their 2nd OT and I like to multitask while I watch sports :) I really only like to watch the end of games. That's when the most exciting stuff happens anyways. I think it drives Jack crazy.

They're Cousins...

I've been meaning to do a cousins post forever! This is from early March in WW. I'll have to do three installments because Blogger is only allowing 4 pictures at a time right now. Colton loves his cousins!

I'm sure they will hate us for this picture later, but it was too precious. Here are the "older" boy cousins, Wilkin and Colton giving each other a sweet kiss.

Colton didn't want Baby Henry to feel left out so he gave him a sweet kiss too. Isn't it funny how babies just gravitate towards each other? We were reading a magazing the other day and when I turned the page to a baby, Colton immediately kissed it. Too sweet.

A Hard Days Work

What?!! People do these jobs for 40+ hours a week? I'm glad I'm a baby!

Joy Break!

I was listening to the radio on the way home from work a few days ago and heard a snippet from a sermon. The preacher said, "It's impossible to be grateful and discontent at the same time. Just try it." So, I tried it today while doing some laundry (one of my least favorite chores) and it's true. I thanked God that I had laundry to wash, fold and put away and as hard as I tried I couldn't grumble or complain at the same time. Gotta go praise God with the vacuum now :) Have a grateful day everyone!

Breaking News!!!!

My little man said "Ma Ma" today! I've been hearing the MMMMMM sound for a few days, but today he looked at me and said it as clear as day! I know it's been said before, but those are the sweetest two syllables in all the world! Thankfully, he can't ask for a car or a million dollars, becuase I sure would have given it to him today! Either my ears have been stopped up lately - or today is just a banner word day because I believe he also said "ball" and "bye-bye" on command. There's a video at the bottom of him almost saying Ma Ma...He got a little distracted with the camera!

I'm behind on the block pictures once again...my creative juices are waning. Anyone have a cute idea for a block picture with a wiggly 9 month old?

• When I ask for a kiss he will lean in and slime me! I don't mind one bit, though!
• Lately, he has started sprint crawling. Sometimes he gets to going so fast he nearly does a front flip.
• He is not afraid of the vacuum. He goes right up to it while its running and tries to grab it! Silly, brave boy.
• He is cruising around the ottoman and couch!!!
• The boy still loves empty boxes and keys (real keys)!
• He threw a mini-fit today when I took away the keys. It was quite dramatic complete with loud squealing, body contorting and a very mad face. We could be in for some fun times soon.
• One of his favorite games is to play catch with himself. He will throw/roll a ball or empty water bottle and then sprint crawl after it. He can do this for about 10 minutes non-stop.
• When Jack or I pick him up, his legs keep moving. It's the funniest thing to us. It's like he can not turn them off.

P.S. - I've been playing around with the look of my blog and somehow erased my Blog link list, verse of the day and Colton counter... I'll try to get it back on soon. I did add a link to my new business endeavor. Check it out - I'd love to talk to you about it soon...

Well this is pretty fun.

Here's a quick video from our ride in the engine. Colton wasn't quite sure what to think of being out of his car seat. The driver's name was "Bull" and his co-pilot is "Lou"... Don't they just sound like firefighter names? We had a great time! Thanks for inviting us, Zach.
